Continental Christmas Comes Early
Wiganers will get a chance for a bit of pre-Christmas continental
shopping when the Continental market comes to town Wednesday
5 to Saturday 8 November.
A sparkling array of items and produce will be on display
providing the perfect opportunity to find those extra special
gifts for family and friends.
There will be unique and beautifully crafted gifts, including
stunning jewellery; pretty pashminas; aromatic perfumes; and
ornate mirrors. Your taste buds will be excited by a selection
of exotic foods including French cheeses, nuts, dried fruits,
saucissons, pates and crepes.
Cllr David Molynuex, Cabinet Champion for Regeneration and
the Environment and Deputy Leader of Wigan Council said: "The
continental markets reflect our commitment to bringing new
ideas and events to Wigan Town Centre. This is only one of
many events we have planned in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
"We aim to further enhance the image and increase the
choice for shoppers, visitors and residents to continue building
upon the economic success of the Borough."
