SAME DIFFERENCE MAKING A DIFFERENCE AT THIS YEARS
WIGAN'S CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON!
Officials from Wigan Town Centre management, The Galleries
and Grand Arcade who have joined together to organise this
years Wigan town centre Christmas activities along with Rock
FM, have announced a further celebrity act who will be switching
on the town's lights.
Same Difference, finalists on X Factor 2007 will be the
main star attraction on Thursday 20 November.
Same Difference commented: "We are delighted to be
involved with this years Christmas light switch on event in
Wigan Town Centre"
In addition, other stars participating in the switch on
event include Wigan's own Luke Marsden - star of Big Brother
2008, Wigan's Got Talent winner Scott Chapman, stars from
Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors and local school choirs
in the "Choir for Christmas" competition.
Stars from Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors and Luke Marsden
will also be available after the switch on event from 7.30pm
until 8.30pm in both The Galleries and Grand Arcade for autographs
and pictures.
Sunday 23 November, Wigan town centre will also be hosting
a family Christmas event, featuring Santa and his reindeer
parade. Entertainment starts at 11am in Market Place, with
the parade starting at 1pm from Mesnes Park and will arrive
at Market Place at 1.30pm. A whole day of family entertainment
is scheduled.
Mike Matthews, Wigan Town Centre manager commented: "This
Christmas, Wigan Town Centre, The Galleries and Grand Arcade
have organised a wonderful family Christmas entertainment
programme. We are delighted that Same Difference are joining
in with Wigan Town Centre Christmas Light switch on events
this year!"

5.30pm - 7.30pm, Market Place
- Christmas Family Event - Sunday 23 November, 11am - 4pm,
Market Place: parade leaves Mesnes Park at 1pm and will
arrive in Market Place at 1.30pm
